Description:

This is the second of the two courses in the Preliminary Physics Programme. This course covers kinetic theory of matter and heat, geometrical optics, introduction to the nature of light, static and DC electricity and simple circuits, magnetism, electromagnetism, atomic structure and nuclear reactions.

Textbook(s):
Modern Physics.

Assessment is by coursework (50%) and final examination (50%).
Prerequisite(s): General Science and Mathematics to Form 5 level would be an advantage.

Students who have done PHP02 are encouraged to do this course.
